Picked up a couple of tricks last night thanks to some games/long chats with my new 2v2 partner (rDruid taking a break atm, so 2v2ing with a Prot Paladin instead). No amazing revelations I’m sure, but could be useful.
Firstly, fighting rogues with evasion – something I thought had been ‘fixed’ at 70 was the shiv mechanic, but it seems that even when they have 90% dodge you can still happily spam shiv for combos (and to keep wound/crippling on your target). It doesn’t do amazing damage for the energy used, but in the right situation it could be useful (definitely a nice way to get combo points). Combining it with surprise attacks gives a nice way of landing an undodgable stun even with their evasion running (even if it’s just for a few seconds you could run behind and dismantle perhaps).
The second thing I hadn’t paid attention to (should really read up more on class spells) is the warrior’s disarm ability. Notice the ‘main hand’ bit… had a warrior disarm me when I was on his druid and was still able to shiv wound/crippling onto the druid to keep ontop of him. I’d always assumed it was a full disarm but noticed the glow off my OH chain and thought “hmm….”.
Oh well, takes a while to get from scrub to non-scrub I guess
One day, one day…

Yea your right about shiv while disarmed, but when fighting another rogue,CoS is the key for that
so wasting ur energy its a bad ideea…
Dont think it is a waste of energy to be honest. At least the CP are a good bonus for when he gets out of the bloody evasion
