Blizz have anounced that Season 6 will be ending “as early as August 25th”, so it look like we have a September launch for Season 7 (and the system of rating requirments for gear).

After Season 6 ends we have a short grace period to buy gear, then team/player ratings and arena points will be turned off. However, MMR will be unaffected – I only play 2v2 at the moment but have a 3v3 team lined up for next season as soon as our Death Knight returns from EVE (any day now supposedly).
