I’ve been playing around with glyphs and thought I’d give the Sprint glyph a try – combined with Camoflauge the speed increase while stealthed is insane. It’s been a quiet morning, so I thought I’d calculate the different speeds with different combinations of Sprint, Fleet Footed, Camouflage and the Glyph of Sprint.
I was never really sure which talents stacked with others, but luckily the MonkeySpeed addon shows you exactly how fast you’re moving.
I’m guessing Fleet Footed stacks with Camouflage, but not with Sprint, because Camouflage is a penalty reducer rather than a speed boost.
You’ll never be able to get your stealthed sprint speed to match that of a mounted target*, but travelling stealthed at 170% (combined with a distract) really increases your chances of catching them.
| Talents | Run | Stealth | Sprint | Stealth+Sprint |
| Normal | 100% | 70% | 170% | 119% |
| Sprint Glyph | 100% | 70% | 200% | 140% |
| Fleet Footed | 115% | 80.5% | 170% | 119% |
| FF + Sprint Glyph | 115% | 80.5% | 200% | 140% |
| Camoflauge | 100% | 85% | 170% | 144.5% |
| Camo + Sprint Glyph | 100% | 85% | 200% | 170% |
| Camo + FF | 115% | 98% | 170% | 144.5% |
| Camo + FF + Sprint Glyph | 115% | 98% | 200% | 170% |
In comparison, these are the speeds your targets will be running at;
| Paladin with Pursuit of Justice | 115% |
| GhostWolf Shaman | 140% |
| Travel Form Druid | 140% |
| Feral Cat Form Druid | 130% |
| Aspect of the Cheetah/Pack | 130% |
| PVP MetaGem | 108% |
* The speed modifiers are accumulative. 100 -30% +30% equals 91 not 100.

Very cool, but I was wondering what the black bars were for…
So I hilighted on a hunch then I could see there is info in there… not sure if you’re hiding it intentionally but if not you might want to change the background color of the text…
Nice info though!!!
Ahh thanks very much! Looks like IE8 didn’t like the way I’d set the colors of the alternate rows. Have changed it now, cheers for letting me know
Any paladin might usefully take 12 points in the retribution tree for the 115% run speed, so don’t assume only ret pallys will be that fast.
Ahh true that’s a good point, I guess 12pts isn’t a lot to spend in your secondary trees.
Ouch! 130% for ferals? Didn’t know that! How unfair for those furry wannabe rogues!
Yeah Feral Swiftness is pretty nasty, especially when they can drop form to get crippling poison off themselves :/
Informative details on sprint.
I decided to replace my CloS glyph with a sprint recently, and I’m glad I did. The speed you gain to chase/escape is so good that I don’t think I can ever drop this glyph.
Yeah I’m feeling the same (though I’ve barely been able to play any games since swapping it). The really fast opening saps are nice as well
i wanted to ask does PVP MetaGem or the Tuskarr’s Vitality boots enchanct give the same speed boost?
i’m thinking that as sublety rogue in arenas i’d rather have the boots enchanct than the meta gem because then i can use the +agi +3% crit dmg meta gem.. what do you think?
