Yep I have strafe bound to A and D (if I’m playing one-handed I can rotate with shift+a/shift+d). I’ll be reworking this post for cata as things have changed a bit!

I’m using my mouse for movement. I needed like two days to get the feeling,now it seems so natural, and my mobility increased dramatically. I notice you don’t have strafe movement which I find useful to position myself. I would really recommend anyone to get a 5 button mouse and learn movements with mouse.

I’m gonna try this, as my addons dont work, and I have to change key-bindings using default bars. Also, Im sub spec so there will be a few changes. Lotsa practise. Great site.

I used to use dominoes, but now just use default bars. The default bars are ok, but you can’t bind keys to the two right-side bars. What problems are you having with the bars?

I was wondering if you used bartender or dominoes when you configured these key bindings? because im on dominoes new to key bindings and kinda confused

Hiya, you will need to change your Keybindings (in the options menu) and assign different keys to the Action Bar Functions. Shift+1 etc changes your current action bar by default.

I am a beginner @ pvp and started 2 weeks ago.

This looks realy nice and I wondered how do u activate that Shift-2 option becouse when I do it I just change Bar instead of be able to click something in the second bar.

I was a hardcore first person shooter, before getting sucked into WoW. One of the first things I looked for was an addon that would allow me to use my mouse to "steer". I found that having to hold down the mouse button to do this was annoying. I found an addon called Mouse Look Lock. My mouse has a side button that I can easily tap with my thumb to toggle the mouse look on/off. All my primary actions are bound to keys around my wasd-style setup. (I actually use n52te, so I don't even touch my keyboard while in combat) This allows me to play as if it were a first person shooter. I can run and spin and strafe as naturally as any fps. While mouse look is on, the a & d keys strafe. When mouse look is off, they turn. You can configure them to behave however you wish. If I need to "click" on something, I can easily toggle the mouse look off.

I can highly recommend left hand peripherials such as the nostromo52te http://www.n52te.com also a few in my guild are very happy with the microsoft sidewinder strategic commander.
Basically it gives you anywhere from 10 to 60 or 80 different key bindings all on your 5 lefthand fingers without having to move across a rather big keyboard

combined with a mouse full of buttons and you have everything you need without ever moving your hands

Im using the fairly popular Logitech MX518
in combination with the Logitech Setpoint Mouse
setup program, it gives me 6 clickable button (excluding mousewheel f/b). In combination with
shift modifiers this gives a total of 12 buttons that can easily be reached.

Mousebindings = win

Well I had the time to test this layout and I really like it. I still have some trouble finding shift-V for the trinket but thats just me because I was used to clique healing on my priest and therefore still having my fingers on shift/ctrl/alt.
Another thing I would love to see is you actual bar setting and talent placement. What is placed where on the ‘main’ bar (the bar that swaps to stealth) and what on the second(third..)?

Well I’m allways courious how other people bind their keys. Yours look pretty good. You’ve mentioned ‘red’ is a key modified with alt but it looks like it’s ctrl instead because you don’t list an alt combination and especially alt+v looks like finger twister xD.
One thing you could probably do is swaping ‘r’ and ‘t’. I did it some time ago and it’s easier for me to have the ability near my main attack and not the re-whisper function in between.

Hiya, yeah as you’ve said the best way to start is probably just rebinding a couple at a time and see how you get on with it – the normal bindings are ok, just hard to reach them all unless you have really massive hands

Awesome, I have been looking for something like this. Kind of leary on changing keybindings as I don’t want to mess up what I’m used to but this gives me a template so I can start with a couple and add on when I get familiar with them. Thanks for publishing.
