After a delayed start, Lastrogue.com is now up and running. I’ll try and keep it updated as much as possible with articles about all aspects of rogue PVP in WoW.
Expectations for this site? I couldn’t possibly guess! I’ll be aiming at posting thoughts and tips about the rogue class in PVP at a level suitable for a relative newcommer (if you’re focus-blinding your way to a 2700 rating, laughing off people’s attempts to juke you’ll probably already be bored here!). I’ll try and keep this site from becomming yet another fansite regurgitating content from arenajunkies, roguerogue and shadowpanther.
Myself? A confessed rogue junkie (who has finally come out of denial and stopped trying to level various hunter/paladin/priest alts). I’m currently playing two Horde rogues, the semi experienced Blood ElfDcruize and the experimental anti-pve Undead Dkruize. Dcruize was started as a PVE rogue shortly after the opening of AQ, and was played from BWL to TK/SSC before rerolling a horde rogue during TBC. Dkruizewas an attempt to keep in touch with IRL friends on Terenas, before finally transfering to that server.
My ability? Getting better:) After getting to Commander on my priest I stopped PVPing until my ex convinced me to play some arena games in season 3. Seasons 3-6 were played casually, 7 a bit more seriously – fingers crossed 8 will give gladiator.
This season I’ll be playing RLS in 3v3 and RL/RS in 2v2, and Dkruize will be used for relaxation. I’ve played about 15 5v5 games in my life, so will probably skip that bracket once again.

I like your site. Would love to see a “Know your Enemy” on mages.
cheers
Mages will be the next one done
To whom this may concern,
We would like to do a link exchange with your World of Warcraft website. We’re starting a massive project, and would like to create an all-in-one question/answer WoW website. We would love to exchange links with you. Basically, we would ask you to advertise our website on your page, and in turn, we will do the same for you.
We will actually be putting up a “Supporter” page on February 1st, where we would be more than happy to place your site if you’d be interested in being a part of this. The link exchange will generate traffic for both of our sites, as I’m sure the majority of the visitors that visit each of our sites will not be the same people.
Here’s our link, if you would like to check it out, yourself: http://www.wowremedy.com
I understand that you may be concerned about the link being a key logger, scam, etc. Feel free to Google us to calm those worries. Google gets rid of sites like that, pretty quickly, off of their records. You can also reply to us, without even going to the site, to see if we are legit as well.
Simply reply to this email if you’re interested. It will be forwarded to our ticket systems where the admins will be more than happy to give you a timely response.
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Regards,
Don
Dcruize, lastrouge is rocking my world, outstanding job. I’m somewhat of a noob, and am currently twinking my main at 79 for arena season 8, your site is answering most of my questions. Thanks man.
Heya, I’m really glad it’s of some help! If you have any questions I can try and answer them (or try and make a post about them if needed).
Hey man,
really good website. I thought I knew most things about rogues, but you gave me a slightly different perspective and take on some strats, so it was nice to see a different approach to the same thing. It’s always nice to be a bit unpredictable
Great job anyways, I’m linkning all my noob guildie/friend rogues to your website because you really have done a great job. It’s nice to see someone with skill not being a jerk because they think it makes them better people.
Keep it up <3
Your site is amazing. I recently got my rogue up to 80 last week and your blog has been tremendously resourceful. Not to mention the time and effort to keep up with all the changes thus far. It’s like going back to school. Rogue 101. =)
Props and thank you!
Cool thanks, it’s great to hear that it’s of some use to people!
In using the classic Prep/Mutilate 41/5/25 spec, dual wielding 1.8 daggers, what poisons are optimal to use (and on which dagger) when dueling a fellow rogue?
Also, what two glyphs would you use in addition to Mutilate?
Thanks for your answers in advance!
For PVP, double wound poison is ideal – you lack the protection from wound dispels that deadly poison provides, but it’s generally easier keeping wound applied. Hmm for a duel vs a rogue, I’d say either double wound or even instant MH/wound OH.
Akrios has a really good guide for rogue vs rogue duels at http://roguerogue.com(you’ll lose an evasion/cb/sprint but that doesn’t matter). It’s a great article, really worth reading.
For glyphs, it depends on the comp you’re playing. In a double dps 2v2, I’d probably take Tricks and Prep glyphs – Tricks for extra burst from my partner and prep for two dismantles/kicks (judging from the “gg prep glyph fagget” whisper I got last night, I guess warriors hate prep)
For rogue/affliction lock/shaman I’d take prep and cloak – a glyphed tricks on an affliction lock is no real boost to pressure, but being able to absorb 60% physical dmg for a few seconds is pretty nice, especially if you’re the target getting tunnelled all the time. There’s a post about glyphs here.
Awesome website!
could you by chance talk about any Subtlety pvp specs? I would really appreciate it since i could find nothing concerning Subtlety in your pvp discussions.
Thanks and keep the work up!
